Il Mezzanino, due to its location is ideal for those looking for accommodation in the center of town, yet also wishing to tour Tuscany. It has easy access to Florence by train, bus or car. Pisa and seaside resorts are 20 minutes away by car.

This lovely apartment is in the medieval part of town and is 50 meters away from the famous Guinigi Tower, one of the most renown attractions in Lucca. The center is pedestrian only with just the occasional car. Thus it is a very quiet setting. The apartment is on the mezzanine floor of an historic building that has just one other apartment. It has been completely restored to offer a truly lovely accommodation. Entry is through the main entrance with a traditional spacious hallway. Two steps up is a private door with its own private stairway. Small laundry room at the entry level. On the second floor is a spacious sitting room with exposed beams and windows looking down on the small plaza ion front of the building. The sitting room is painted in pale colors has fine fabrics and is a very pretty room with comfortable seating. The eat-in kitchen is well equipped and has a window that also ooks out on the plaza. The master bedroom is extremely spacious with a king bed and ensuite shower, sink and separate toilet. There is a twin bedroom and a small single bedroom best for a teenager(no window). Separate bathroom with bathtub, shower over and toilet.

Parking is available 600m away for a small fee, but you can easily manage here without a car. Please inquire.

We really felt like we lived in Lucca. It was an easy walk to every part of the city. Each day we joined in the "passagiata" the evening stroll around the city. We even ran daily on the pretty park on the ramparts. The apartment is tasteful and comfortable. Lots of comfortable seating. Excellent lighting for reading. Kitchen bright.
